What to expect for your first visit
Your initial evaluation will consistent of a 1-on-1 consult with one of our licensed Doctors of Physical Therapy. During this initial consult, your physical therapist will do a comprehensive assessment of strength, joint range of motion, and functional mechanics. This includes reviewing your medical history and medications. During the initial evaluation, your goals will also be discussed, including activities one wishes to return to. Every patient is given a home program to help maintain all changes made during each visit. At Cactus, we pride ourselves on the importance of individualized treatment.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We understand that things happen, however, we ask for at least 24 hour notice. For cancellations that happen the same day, we will charge a $50 cancellation fee. This fee is also applicable for no-shows.
How much will my care cost?
The cost of your care is determined by your insurance plan, including if you have met your deductible or out-of-pocked maximums. We are in-network with most insurances plans and thus have a contracted rate with them. We verify all benefits prior to the first appointment. If you have any questions about your insurance plan, please contact your insurance company directly.
Can I use my FSA or HSA to pay for my services at your clinic?
For physical therapy, we do take HSA and FSA payments. If you require an itemized receipt, please ask the front desk for assistance.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Colorado is considered a direct access state, meaning most insurances do not require a referral, however, there are some insurances that do. Please call our clinic to determine if your insurance requires one.
What is a Deductible, a copay, and a co-insurance?
A patient’s deductible is the amount you pay for covered health care services before your insurance plan starts to pay.1
A copay is a a fixed amount you pay for a covered health care service after you paid your deductible. 1
Co-insurance is the percentage of costs of a covered health care service you pay after you’ve paid your deductible.1

Can I set up a payment plan?
Yes! At Cactus, we understand that financial hardships happen and do not want that to stop you from receiving the care you need. Please contact the front desk to set up a payment plan.
